Match report The first game of the season at the Bledlow Oval started off with a win for the Bledlow 1st XI.

Newly appointed captain Tommy Moore won the toss and elected to field. Club captain Matt Bolton opening the bowling with James Hawkes. Both Matt and James bowled very well picking up wickets early on to put pressure on the Aston Rowant batsman taking 4 wickets between them. Harry Bartlett with the gloves took a spectacular stumping on his return to the Bledlow Oval. Sam Mudie and Matt Lomas came into the attack bowling well at times and showing lots of promise for the season ahead with Lomas picking up 2 wickets in his first season back after a 4 year absence. Captain decided it was time for the spinners to have a go. Marcus Goodchild came into the attack after some persuasion and didn't disappoint taking 2 wickets and Moore getting a wicket with a average ball according to Charlie Downes. Moore certainly disagreed! Aston Rowant captain Tim Morgan batted well but was unable to get a partnership going and resulted in Aston Rowant 128 all out.

After tea Olly Woodward and Tommy Moore headed out to bat and started very quickly. Woodward showing his class, hitting boundaries for fun whilst Moore playing a more reserved innings. With a opening stand of 108 Woodward went after one to many and was caught in the deep finishing on 69. Bolton came out to the crease showing his lack of pre season nets hasn't affected his ability with the bat. Moore finished the game off with Bolton and Bledlow win by 9 Wickets.
