A date has been set for a David Rutt v Harry Bates Memorial cricket match at High Wycombe CC. The intention will be to have the David Rutt XI based around the Bledlow club and the Harry Bates XI from High Wycombe Club.
It is planned for Sunday 22 August with a start at 12 30 and they hope to supply afternoon tea for all players, friends and family. There will be some words in memory of David and Harry either at the tea interval or after the match, and they will also unveil a bench in honour of them both.
I am hoping we can raise a team, including as many of Rutty’s old team mates, family and friends as possible, so please let me know if you’re interested. Also please pass this message to anyone else who you think needs to know !!
Regardless, it would good to see as many old colleagues and friends on the day, as possible.
