Dear All,
Now that the season is truly underway I thought first of all I'd like to welcome all the new members - great to have you at Bledlow Village, fantastic to see so many on Friday evenings. Now we need the weather to improve!
This year, as most of you will be aware we are running the ECB introduction to cricket for 5 - 8 year olds. It starts on Friday 19 May. The children so far registered are: Nathan Abrams, Henry Barlow, Alex Blagojevic, Euan and Ossian Conely, Ax Crook,Edward Davies, Imogen Fawkner, Honor Gore, Yevin Gunarathne, Alex Irons, Freddie and Maddie Jarman, Edward Johnson, Hogo Khaira, Matthew Lonsdale, Helena and Teddy Purushothaman, Lissy Rayfield, Thomas Winson, Toby Woods-Ballard, Thomas Wynne, Leo, Reece and Riley Clark.
Any not on the list who think they should be please check via the ECB website. Time is running out to get the kit out in time...
Volunteers
I need parent volunteers from the All Stars group to satisfy ECB child welfare standards. We have the Activators and some of the older children as helpers but on account of the mixed group must have female helpers who are over 18. So its the mums we are going to need to step forward. The more of you who volunteer the less often we will call on you - but reply to this email and I'll set up a group to organise a rota for the All Stars course.
BBQ
We all love the BBQ after training but as we grow the burden on a few is too great. We are happy to source the food etc but need others to step forward and occasionally help us out, either cooking or serving, we welcome your support. Again, if a number of you can indicate willingness to help out by replying to this email I will set up a group with the aim of agreeing a rota. The more of you who can help the less often anybody will have to do it. You will be really helping the club and its a nice way to get to know everybody.
Subscriptions
Its now time to get all subs paid please. Thank you very much to those of you who adopt a proactive approach - its much easier than having to have somebody going round to ask everybody each week. Checking the bank account this morning the following transfers have arrived so far: Podmore, Sims, Floyd, Smith, Moore, Wooster, Beadle and Lumb. I know there a quite a few more of you who have ticked this payment option so if you think you have paid by transfer and are not on this list please let me know. And if you know you haven't yet paid please do so - thanks!
The junior fixtures are all on the website and will soon be starting. Those paid up will get picked to play before those who haven't.
