Match report Bledlow travelled to Cublington for the semi-final of the regional village knock-out hoping for a different result from the match against the same opponents the previous day.

Tom lost the toss and the team were made to field first. The Cublington openers looked very comfortable against what was a Bledlow side still feeling the effects of the hard fought Saturday league game. A chanceless partnership finally came to an end after drinks when one of the openers chipped Reckers to long on where Olly took a simple catch. Tom removed the other opener soon after, bowling him around his legs, but this didn't slow down the Cublington scoring, with their middle order scoring quick runs. Hawkesy, Ben and Pearcey picked up wickets during the final overs as Cublington tried to increase their score further. They finished up with a competitive 233-7 from their 40 overs.

Bledlow managed a solid start to their innings, reaching 30-0 inside 8 overs. However, Olly and Streaky both fell in quick succession to leave Bledlow in a spot of bother. Steady, if not spectacular, 3rd and 4th wicket partnerships kept the innings ticking along but the win was still a long way off when Tom was adjudged LBW for 47. Following Sam's early dismissal, Hawkesy and Marcus counter-attacked in a quick fire partnership that got the innings back on track. Ben Moore carried on the momentum after Hawkesy and Pearcey were dismissed to take the team close to victory. Once Ben was out, Marcus took charge and carried the team home with some help from Reckers, who scored the winning run when mid on was unable to get under a skyer.

Marcus was named man of the match after a perfectly paced innings took the team over the line despite the wickets falling around him.

Bledlow move on to the final away at Dinton on Sunday 12th June.
