Match report Bledlow turned up at Brill CC hoping to banish memories of the thrashing at the hands or Horley the previous week. Tom lost the toss and the opposition captain elected to bat first.

Cublington got off to a steady start, reaching 70-2 from 17 overs, both wickets taken by Matt Bolton. The game then descended into madness when Harry Bartlett was introduced into the attack. His first 6 balls were some of the worst ever seen by the knowledgeable Brill locals, however it did yield a wicket off the final ball as the batsman dollied a long hop up to mid wicket for a simple catch. His next over was even more bizarre, a wicket from the first ball left Harry on a hattrick, however the incoming batsman smashed the next two balls for 4 before being bowled on his third ball to leave the score 90-5. It then became clear that Cublington only had 9 players present so when Hawkesy (2) and Bartlett picked up the final 3 wickets Cublington were all out for 122.

Tom and Olly went out to bat before tea looking to finish the job quickly. The two openers looked comfortable until Olly skied a catch to the keeper for 9 with the score on 43. Harry and Tom then knocked off the remaining 80 runs with ease, Tom finishing on 60 not out and Harry on 34.

The win keeps Bledlow top of the league going in to the top of the table clash with Didcot at the Bledlow Oval next Saturday.
